Overview

Challenge Sphere 2025 is a multi-track engineering and coding challenge series organized by the IEEE Sri Lanka Section – Educational Activities Society. The program serves as a national-level gateway to global IEEE challenges, bringing together students from universities and schools to compete, collaborate, and innovate across emerging technology domains.

Impact

The 2025 edition successfully delivered five major challenge tracks, engaging hundreds of participants across Sri Lanka. The program strengthened collaboration between IEEE societies and student branches while providing hands-on exposure to real-world engineering and AI-driven problem solving.

Activities

• Led the planning, coordination, and delivery of the entire Challenge Sphere 2025 program
• Oversaw five national challenge tracks: Artificial Intelligence, Micro-electronics, Arduino, Applied Robotics, and Healthcare Innovation
• Coordinated with multiple IEEE societies and student branches to ensure smooth execution across regions
• Managed timelines, judging processes, and challenge logistics from launch to final evaluation
• Worked closely with mentors, judges, and organizing teams to maintain technical quality and fairness
• Facilitated communication between local organizing teams and global IEEE challenge frameworks
